About this book
Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The Hummer was a motorcycle model manufactured by Harley-Davidson from 1955 to 1959. However, the name "Hummer" is now used generically to refer to all American-made single-cylinder two-stroke Harley-Davidson motorcycles manufactured from 1948 to 1966. These motorcycles were based on the DKW RT125, the drawings for which were taken from Germany as war reparations after World War II. RT125 drawings were also given to the United Kingdom and the Soviet Union as war reparations, resulting in the BSA Bantam and the MMZ M-1A Moskva, later known as the Minsk.

    Surprisingly awesome sound!

Customer Video Review Length:: 4:08 MinsI really didn't expect much from this kit as I see systems which cost multiple times the amount with very similar specifications, so what could this kit possible bring to the table at the budget price point it's currently going for? Plus as I'm thinking of selling the bike that I put these on, I really didn't want to spend the earth.I have to say though I'm very happy with both the kit's contents, the look and build of the speakers and the actual audio that pours out of them. I have made a quick video which will better demonstrate the set up so feel free to take a look at it now. Please note that the stereo effect and loudness is lost on this compressed video but let me assure you these are very loud and sound great with no distortion until you turn it up to 100% and then it's minimal as you will hear in the video. At highway speeds of 70+ you can still hear them although you have to have them turned up quite high. When you come to a stop you... 5/5 Vynny "Vynrod" (USA) - See all my reviews, May 9, 2011

    Sounds fine

Not a bad little stereo. I had a better sounding system on my last bike (a shark stereo), but it was UGLY! This system sounds fine, but I did have to set my iPod to an equalizer setting of almost no bass in order to avoid distortion. I have loud aftermarket pipes and a windshield and I can hear it fine at highway speeds.Since this is the lower-grade model, Pyle kind of jips you on installation hardware. The brackets for mounting the speakers are small "z" shaped brackets, which are useless for handlebar mounting. I went to Lowe's and bought some 1" anodized, rubber-sheathed "p" brackets for a little over a buck and used them to mount the speakers to the handlebars. I need to go buy another set to mount the volume control to the handlebars.I think the next stereo up (the -60 model) gets you the chrome "p" brackets plus a higher watt amp and am/fm too. I never use the am/fm and found the "p" brackets for cheap, so the only reason for me to buy the upgrade... 4/5 Kevin (Tampa, FL) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) 0 5/5 A J Onia - See all my reviews This review is from: The Tiddler Invasion: Small Motorcycles of the Sixties (Paperback) The sheer volume of information and research in this book is staggering. Interspersed with data are Floyd's spot-on reminiscences of the wonderful selection of bikes we had to choose from back in the 1960's. He relies on marque experts to fill in the blanks for many of the lesser-known makes like Yamaguchi, Tohatsu, Lilac, etc. This book is not just for the lover of Japanese-led invasion small displacement motorcycles, but has a strong representation of British, European and American Tiddlers and scooters as well. You really need both versions, the trade paperback for day-to-day easy referral and the ebook for full-color photos. More than you thought possible about little bike

0 4/5 Bill Boggs - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: The Tiddler Invasion: Small Motorcycles of the Sixties (Color Edition) (Kindle Edition) This book needed to be written. If you grew up in the sixties, and were caught up in the Japanese motorcycle invasion of the US, you will love this book. It documents the massive amount of new and innovative machines that entered the US and challenged the European marques now defunct. The Europeans get their due as they were here first. Puch (Sears Allstate), Zundapp, Ducati and more now gone are chronicled. The details of each manufacture and their models is quite good. Worth the price 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , February 18, 2014

    It works as advertised.

I purchased this device to use in a 2012 Honda Ridgeline. I had a heads-up display back in the 1990's when I drove a Pontiac Grand Prix, and I've really missed it. Fortunately this device has brought that feature back to my vehicle.Installation of the device was rather simple. I just plugged it in and moved it around my dashboard until I found a spot where the reflection looked good on the windshield. Once I found that spot, I applied the adhesive and that was it. The adhesive actually adheres, which can be a problem for some adhesives in Florida. It has been mounted for two months without any problems.Next, I installed the tinted strip that is included. This applies to the windshield so that the reflected speed can be seen more clearly whether it is bright or dark outside. I must say that I removed this after it was on for only an hour. First, I didn't like the distraction of this black strip in my field of vision. And second, the device is so bright... 5/5 Gregory (Florida, USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Works great with a little modification

This could easily be a 5-star product with a simple modification. The mounting bracket should slide into the base of the speedo BOTH WAYS, not just one. Every dashboard is curved differently, but in the majority of cases, people are going to place this speedo near the base of the windshield behind the "hump" of the steering wheel guage cluster. On most dashboards, the "hump" slopes downward toward the windshield, meaning that placing this speedo level where it will get the maximum reflection off of the windshield will involve using the included mounting bracket. This wasn't my first rodeo installing an aftermarket HUD speedo...I've had them before and they weren't this expensive, nor did they have a design flaw like this. This speedo is brighter than my old ones (this one has bright green numbers instead of the harder to see in daylight red) and it automatically turns on with the vehicle ignition and off once you shut off the ignition, and it remembers your selection of... 3/5 Nick (NE Illinois USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Excellent, but not perfect

Should you buy this? Will you be glad you did? Those are the questions you want answered when you read a review. You will love this device if you have realistic expectations. I had the heads up in a Corvette. This is nearly as good. After you order you should go get some outdoor rated 3M double sided tape. From my experience this is removable from a dash board later. Although, use at your own risk. The tape that comes with the device is 3M brand and it is great. Problem is that you will want to try out multiple locations. If you have the tape on standbye then you can more easily make adjustments.Get your device mounted exactly where you want it before you put in the reflective window film. You will want to mount it, then drive to test it at speeds in the double digits. You need to see the double digits so that you know that you have the angle just right. Mount, adjust, mount, adjust, then when you think you have it perfect you should mark... 4/5 Joe T. (United States) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?)
